In the near future, quantum local area networks will be used to transport data from quantum sensor arrays directly into quantum computers where efficient quantum algorithms can be used to analyze vast quantum datasets in real time.  The transport, storage, and processing of these exponentially large data volumes (10^85 GB/s for 300 qubits) is far beyond the capabilities of any conceivable classical computer system, and so these quantum technologies will allow scientists to look at nature in ways that have never before been possible.
