We are pleased to announce a special colloquium by Sir Steven Cowley, a renowned theoretical physicist, and an international authority on fusion energy.
In March 2022, the White House announced a “bold decadal vision” to develop an electricity-producing fusion pilot plant by the end of the 2030s. During this lecture, Sir Steven Cowley will discuss the significant technical and scientific challenges that must be overcome to achieve this ambitious goal.

Sir Steven Cowley currently serves as the director of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory, managed by Princeton University, where he is also a Professor of Astrophysical Sciences. Additionally, he is the Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Faraday Institution. His career includes previous roles as President of Corpus Christi College and Professor of Physics at the University of Oxford, as well as CEO of the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority and Head of the Culham Centre for Fusion Energy.

This is a unique opportunity to gain insights from one of the leading experts in the field of fusion energy. We encourage all interested parties to attend.
