Fermilab’s Batavia site is open to the public. View details on hours and site access requirements, and activities.

Fermilab Art Gallery features a rotating schedule of exhibits that highlight how art and science connect. The art gallery is open to visitors Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. located in Wilson Hall on the second floor.

Founding Director Robert R. Wilson’s vision for Fermilab was to create an environment that embodied both scientific and artistic excellence to draw the world’s best scientists to the laboratory. One of the first employees he hired was artist Angela Gonzales, who designed Fermilab’s iconic logo and shaped the laboratory’s visual identity, from its buildings to its publications.

“I have always felt that science, technology and art are importantly connected; indeed science and technology seem to many scholars to have grown out of art.” —Robert Rathbun Wilson, Fermilab founding director
